Samsung Tanzania recorded an increase of up to 30 per cent of customers registered through the e-warranty platform, an improvement through their 'Pambika na Samsung' sales drive in November to December, last year.

Presenting highlights of 'Pambika na Samsung' campaign and its impact, Samsung Sales and Distribution Manager, Mr Sylvester Manyara, mentioned how the seven-week promotion not only boosted sales but mainly customer awareness on purchasing genuine products, as well as the need to register for the warranty.

"We are happy to announce that our 'Pambika na Samsung' campaign led to great achievements, we have seen an increase of customers upwards of 30 per cent registering on the e-warranty platform," he said.

It showed tremendous success of the campaign as part of Samsungs long term strategy of eliminating counterfeit goods in the Tanzanian market plus raising awareness of the benefits of purchasing genuine goods.

With the campaign coming to a conclusion it is our hope that this culture of buying original products will continue."

He said Samsung long term objective as a key player in electronic goods sector in Tanzania was to create closer cooperation between the national authorities including law enforcement agencies and customs and consumers, producers and trade associations to stop the production and circulation of counterfeit goods.

He called upon Tanzanians to make a stand against fake products and buy original ones not necessarily Samsung products.
