According to Vodacom Tanzania Head of Brand and Communication, Kelvin Twissa, the partnership makes M-Pesa the first mobile money transfer service in Tanzania to partner with an international airline.
Mr Twissa noted that through the partnership, millions of passengers flying with KQ in and outside the country will use the most reliable means of paying for the flight tickets.
“This is a great partnership we have entered today and I call upon Vodacom and KQ customers to make use of it,” said Mr Twissa in Dar es Salaam.
He added that M-Pesa is a service that is accessible anywhere in Tanzania. “We take pride in our 50,000 agents who are always on standby to serve our customers.”
Kenya Airways Head of Information Systems Development Henry Obare said that the partnership they have entered with Vodacom will allow the airline’s customers to plan and pay for their travel wherever they are.
