FastJet to re-launch Zanzibar-Kilimanjaro flights

FastJet Tanzania plans to re-launch its services on the Zanzibar-Kilimanjaro route effectively July 1, this year.

Fast Jet General Manager, Tim Lee- Foster, said in Dar es Salaam  that tickets were already on sales, noting that the airline will fly between Zanzibar and Kilimanjaro three days - Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday - weekly to tap business in the tourism high season.

He was speaking at Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA ) during a press conference where the company’s 200,000th client, Noleshi Shoo, was announced. The client, an actress and TV commercial model was awarded a return ticket to Zanzibar and two nights at Serena Hotel.

“Fast Jet is always striving to deliver best services at affordable prices to everybody in the Tanzanian market,” said Lee-Foster, saying his firm has never experienced any problem in the Zanzibar’s route.

The manager said the company will soon make the maiden flight to South Africa, Zambia and Rwanda, “We will soon announce the exact date that we will start flying to these countries…we are currently waiting for the best Air bus plane to arrive to offer the services.”
