Airtel Tanzania slashes call tariffs

Airtel Tanzania launched a new service called “AIRTEL YATOSHA” that will enable its customers to call other service providers at 75 per cent lower without necessarily having to change their SIM Card.

“The AIRTEL YATOSHA service demonstrates one nation, one SIM Card, one tariff proposition where customers get a mix of voice, SMS and data in one bundle that can be consumed daily and weekly to suit its costumers’ needs,” Airtel said in a statement.

Speaking during product launch held at Airtel headquarters, Airtel Managing Director, Mr Sunil Colaso said “with “AIRTEL YATOSHA,” we have made it easy, most affordable for our customers and the whole of Tanzania to communicate across all networks at the most competitive rates.

“From as low as 349/-, Airtel customers will get 10 minutes to call to any network anytime, 100 short messages and 25MB internet bundle 24hrs a day.” 

Airtel Communication Director, Ms Beatrice Singano, said “AIRTEL YATOSHA Service is available in two options daily subscription and Weekly subscription.
