TZ goes to Africa Week in Mexico

Mexico City
Tanzania works to strengthen and expand trade relationship with Mexico in a bid to securing more market for the country’s produce and increase its export volume.

Through Tanzania Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA), the country will in October this year send a delegation of businessmen to explore trade opportunities in Mexico in an organised Africa Week in Mexico.

TCCIA executive director Daniel Machemba said it is the first time Tanzania participates in the event, saying this would provide the country with an opportunity to diversify her trader partners.

“The week is designed to provide opportunity for promoting business development and increase commercial exchange between Mexico and Africa, encouraging sharing experiences and dialogue among institutions and business communities,” said Mr Machemba.

The Africa Week in Mexico will specifically deal with sustainable development in Africa and the main themes at the event will dwell on water and sustainable development, affordable housing and pharmaceutical sector.

Others will be renewable energy, agriculture, agri-processing and technological advancement.
