Swissport share pushes indices up

Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) all indices on Wednesday headed north, thanks to Swissport share that gain by 1.96 per cent. 

DSE all share index (DSEI) slightly increase by 0.08 points to 1320.09 points and Tanzania Share Index (TSI) gained by 0.34 points to close the market at 1211.53 points.

The indices up surge were pushed by Swissport after appreciated from 1,020/- of Tuesday to 1,040/- of Wednesday equals to a gain of 1.96 per cent.

The market also recorded an improved activity of 64.75m/- from 311,868 shares in comparison to the previous session which recorded a turnover of 22.09m/- from 43,993 shares. 

CRDB was the top trader with 36.8m/- which was 56.8 per cent of the total turnover, followed by TWIGA with 9.61m/- equals to 14.8 per cent of the total turnover and NMB with 8.72m/- or 13.4 per cent of the total turnover. Other counters that recorded activity today were TCC (7.6m/-), Swissport (922,780/-), Simba (714,000/-) and DCB (128,000/-).
