Tanzania’s Arabica coffee falls 0.2% at auction

Tanzania’s benchmark coffee grade fell 0.2 percent at an auction, the Tanzania Coffee Board said.

The average price for the benchmark Arabica AA sold for US$246.08 per 50-kilogram (110 pounds) bag compared with $249.49 a week earlier, the board said today by e-mail from Moshi, in northern Tanzania.

Supplies of the grade rose 64 percent to 4,728 bags, it said. The average price for all coffee at the sale rose $5.50 per 50-kilogram bag, the board said.
