JK leads mourners to pay Sumari's last respect

President Jakaya Kikwete led thousands on mourners today to pay their last respect to the former Deputy Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs Jeremiah Sumari at Karimjee grounds in Dar es Salaam.

The President was flanked by Speaker of the National Assembly,Anna Makinda, the Chairman of Chadema and leader of opposition, Freeman Mbowe and other dignitaries including MPs. 

The late Mr Sumari, a politician-cum-stockbroker,is expected to be buried in his home village in Arumeru East, Arusha on Monday. He was the constituency MP. He died on Thursday in Dar es Salaam after he lost a brain cancer battle. The nation lost two MPs in a single week. The other was Regia Mtema (Chadema special seats) who died in a car accident.
