A Chinese real estate firm developing a
new city at Kigamboni area in Dar es Salaam, Avic Town, is set to
complete construction of 150 housing units by June, next year, the
property developer has announced.
The real estate developer, Avic
International is undertaking the mega project and has called upon
potential buyers to make arrangements to purchase the modern housing
units.
The Public Relations Officer of Avic
International, Mr Daniel Kure, said construction of 50 houses in the
venture has been finalised and work on the remaining 100 units is
underway. “As we speak, 50 houses have been completed but we have
received orders for 60 units.
This means that only 90 houses are remaining for sale,” the PRO told journalists during a briefing of the mega project.
The Avic Estate will upon completion in
June, 2016, have all basic social amenities such as water and
electricity networks, recreation centre as well as houses of worship and
a fitness centre, among others.
Mr Kure said the ongoing construction
was the first phase as additional five phases will commence after the
completion of the current project. The aim is to have a unique satellite
town in Kigamboni to be dubbed Avic Town.
