The sky of Dar es Salaam’s central business district will soon
change, with the imposing International Hotel coming up at the junction
of Ghana Avenue and Mirambo Street.
Negotiations have reached an advanced stage for the renowned
International Chain to operate and manage the hotel. Prime Assets
(Tanzania) Limited General Manager Said Ally Said told reporters in Dar
es Salaam that the hotel will feature a spacious golf-course and
sea-facing rooms with modern conveniences.
Other facilities will include top quality food and beverage outlets, a
large conference room with video conferencing facilities, boardrooms
and a fully equipped gym and pool.
He added that guests and meeting
delegates will have free high-speed internet access throughout the
building including the use of a dedicated 24-hour business centre. Prime
Assets is the project promoter.
Besides contributing to the government coffers, the project would
provide training and employment opportunities to young Tanzanians
aspiring to pursue internationally recognized hospitality related
careers.
The envisaged hotel will easy the shortage of hotel rooms and
attract more visitors to Dar es Salaam as a destination for
international conferences and exhibitions.
