TaTePa share price increases by 14 per cent

Tanzania Tea Packers (TaTePa), the producer of Chai Bora blend, share price has appreciated by 14.01 per cent to 325/- a piece, pushing with it both Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange Indices.

The bourse closed the Friday session after registered a total turnover of 120.17m/- from 267,174 shares in comparison to the previous session that recorded a turnover of 47.54m/- from 54,946 shares.

“Today (Friday), foreign investors generated a total turnover of 74.17m/- from the purchase of 228,234 TATEPA shares,” DSE Daily market report shows.

The TaTePa deal was pre-arranged.

The move pushed DSE all share index (DSEI) up by 0.08 points to close the week at 1326.75 points. The Tanzania All Share Index also increased by 0.34 to 1239.72 points.
