The
Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) came back strongly after Easter Holiday on
Tuesday to push north all indices.
The
phenomenal shows that Easter celebrations failed to affect the bourse trading
after DSE all share index closed at 1,333.26 points a change of 1.79 points
while Tanzania Share Index (TSI) closed at 1,267.22 points with a change of
7.57 points.
The
Tuesday’s session recorded a total turnover of 375.9m/- from 371,172 shares
traded.
NMB
was the top trader with 313.3m/-, which was 83.3 per cent of the total turnover
followed by TBL with 51.1m/-accounted for 13.5 per cent of the market total
turnover.
Other
counters that recorded activities today were Twiga (9.9m/-) and Simba (1.6m/-).
Investors
scramble for NMB shares a day before it announces a hefty pre-tax profit of
103bn/- to lead all 45 banks in the country.
