DSE indices plunge in 24 hours

The Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) indices plunged heavily Tuesday after gaining handsomely on Monday.

The Tanzania Share Index plunged by 13.52 points to close the day at 1196.98, despite appreciation of Swissport share by 3.09 per cent to 1,000/- .

The plunging was attributed to sliding of TBL share by 3.85 per cent to 2,500/- from 2,600/-, which also pulled south the DSE all share index (DSEI) by 3.20 points to close at 1316.65.
