National Microfinance Bank stock on Monday was the most
liquid stock as it generated a turnover of 255.68m/- equals to 87.37 per cent of
total turnover, but the indices remain flat.
The market recorded a turnover of 292.65m/- from sales of
319,533 shares.
On manufacturers sector, Simba—Tanga Cement—was the most
liquid stock in the with a turnover of 91.90m/- followed by TCC and Twiga—Twiga
Cement-- with turnovers of 11.62m/- and 2.08m/-respectively.
Other counters that recorded activities with their turnovers
in brackets were, Swissport (0.56m/-), CRDB (0.47m/-), TaTePa (0.29m/-) and DCB (0.06m/-).
Tanzania Securities, Business Analyst Joel Nkya said “indices
remained flat as prices at all counters did not change”.
DSEI closed at 1,312.18 points while TSI closed at 1,178.08
points.
Foreigners generated a turnover of 0.29m/- from purchases of
1,000 TaTePa shares
