Banks today dominated the Dar es Salaam
Stock Exchange (DSE) trading with a combined turnover of 35.98m/-, but the indices remained
flat.
National Microfinance Bank (NMB) was the
top trader followed by CRDB Bank with turnovers of 19.55m/- and 16.43m/- respectively.
Tanzania Securities Business Analyst
Joel Nkya says “turnover increased in today’s session in comparison to the
previous one.”
A
total of 139,012 shares were traded yielding a turnover of 48.75m/-. Twiga
recorded a turnover of 11.55m/- to lead the manufacturers sector. Other
counters that recorded activities were TATEPA and Swissport.
However, Indices remained flat as prices
at all counters in the market remained stable. DSEI closed at 1,297.97 points
while TSI closed at 1,122.21points.
