The US based, UPS Senior Director Emerging Markets, Mr Paul Bayer said that thanks to many opportunities in Tanzania and the East African region, their presence in the region is becoming more and more important.

"As the manufacturing industry keeps growing, the demand of moving products keeps increasing. “Thanks to our partnership with UPS, we are able to use all forms of transportation," he said.

Mr Bayer said that currently Africa is the sweet spot and proving to be a vital market adding that whilst converting the opportunities into dollars and cents was challenging, UPS was here to ease the lives of people.

The event highlighted FiT’s appreciation to local customers and in turn provided customers with an opportunity to meet FiT’s management and ask questions first hand.
