Zantel mobile phone subscribers will start to get real time entertainment news through their smart phones under a new product code named, Zuninga television.
In a statement, the company said Zuninga TV service is expected to enable Zantel customers to watch TV programmes such as news, bongo movies, gospel, sports and other related contents through their handsets from a number of local media houses.
Speaking at the launch of the service, Zantel Chief Executive Officer, Pratap Ghose, said the new product was another attractive service from the company to its subscribers.
“We have various TV programs for our customers which includes news and entertainment for recreation.
Therefore, with this service our customers should be assured that their worries of missing out on their favourite programmes on TV is no more,” Mr Ghose said.
He said having access to current events and up-to-date information is important in the modern world because change is constant.
Ghose pointed out that without regular access to news, most people would be unaware of the various events taking place, both locally and around the world, that impact on their lives.
“This is why our company is excited about Zuninga TV service which is a way of ensuring that our customers get everything on the go in an extremely simplest manner possible,” he said.
