Speaking to reporters after landing in Bujumbura, Burundi, at the weekend, ATCL Human Resource Manager Eliezer Mwasele said introduction of the Burundi flight will increase trade relations and be a catalyst to speedy economic growth in Tanzania and Burundi.

He urged Tanzanians to take advantage of this opportunity to position their businesses ready to trade with businessmen from Burundi and Congo, who are expected to fly Air Tanzania in search of merchandise.

Tanzania’s ambassador to Burundi Dr James Nzagi who was at the airport to welcome the airline, said resumption of the Bujumbura flights was a result of a mutual understanding between the two countries who wanted an affordable air transport service.
