Among the prizes -- awarded under the supervision of the Gaming Board of Tanzania -- included home theatres, fridges, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, 32 inches LED TVs, DVD players and microwaves.
The winners, according to Samsung Electronics Tanzania’s Retail manager Sylvester Manyara came from Dar es Salaam and Arusha.
In the first draw held on November 18, winners were picked from Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Mbeya, Tabora, Arusha, Dodoma, Moshi and Manyara. They have all received their prizes.
“The excitement that winners create since the first weeks of the draw is wonderful; the response on purchasing genuine products has been increasing on a weekly basis,” he said.
The promotion -- launched on November 7 -- gives customers the opportunity to experience the worthiness of using original Samsung products while enjoying the 24-month E-Warranty services afforded to them upon purchase of original Samsung products. Draws will be conducted every week until December 23, 2013.
To enter the draw, customers are required to purchase any genuine Samsung handset and register on E-Warranty by sending the ‘IMEI NUMBER’ to the short-code 15685. And for those who buy other Samsung consumable products they are required to fill the special raffle forms available in all Samsung shops and authorized dealers.
Mr Manyara said the nationwide promotion aims to reward lucky winners each week with a wide range of Samsung’s consumer electronics.
