The Tanzania government will offload 25 percent of
its stake in the National Housing Corporation in the next three years.
The government announced last week that a decision had been made to
offload 25 per cent stake to enhance efficiency and allow citizens to own
a piece of the company.
The deal is expected to make NHC one of the
largest listed companies in terms of assets in the region. Currently,
NHC has assets worth 1.2 billion US dollars. Investors are upbeat that the listing
will also increase trade on the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE)
