DSE indices surge north

Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) indices went further up today (Thursday). The DSE all share Iindex (DSEI) closed the session at 1,471.76 points (+5.10) and Tanzania all Share Index (TSI) settled at 1,350.42 points (+21.59). 

The increase was supported by gains made on TBL gain by 6.06 per cent and Twiga up by 0.79 per cent. TBL gained by140/- to close the session at 2,800/-. Twiga counter gained 20/-to 2,540/-. 

However, CRDB lost 2/50 to settle at 117/50. Swissport and NMB  shares exchanged hands at unchanged prices of  1,700/- and 1,100/- respectively.

The exchange registered a decrease in both turnover and volumes. 121,014 shares were moved for a turnover of 78.89m/- in comparison to yesterday’s 322.17m/- in turnover and 259,672 shares exchanged hands. There was no foreign investors’ participation.
