Banks stocks shine on DSE

Banking sector was the most liquid sector on Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) in Tuesday after contributing 93.63 per cent of the market turnover, but the indices remain flat. 

The bourse recorded a turnover of 18.01m/- from sales of 27,132 shares in 44 deals. 

NMB was the market top trader with a turnover of 15.39m/- (85.41 per cent of the total turnover) followed by CRDB with a turnover of 1.18m/-. Other counters that recorded activity with their respective turnover in brackets were, DCB (0.30m/-), Twiga (0.68m/-) and TCC (0.67m/-).

Indices remained flat as prices at all counters remained flat.  DSEI closed at 1,315.07 points while TSI closed at 1,190.31 points. Foreigners did not participate in today’s trading session.
