DSE Indices, turnover dip

Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) Indices has dropped after TBL share price decreased by 2.44 per cent yesterday.

The TBL share price dropped from 2,460/- to 2,400/-.

As the result of TBL share dropping, crushed the DSEI which lost 1.99 points to close at 1,310.19 points while TSI lost 8.42 points to close at 1,169.65 points.

On top of that the market’s turnover decreased by 92.15 per cent compare to the previous session. The total turnover was 20.63m/- from sales of 15,045 shares.

Manufacturers dominated the market contributing 85.17 per cent of total turnover.

“TBL was the most liquid stock with a turnover of 14.44m/- which is equivalent to 70.00 per cent of total turnover followed by Simba with a turnover of 2.83m/-,” Tanzania Securities says in its daily market report.

The brokerage firm says other counters that recorded activities were DCB 1.98m/-, CRDB 0.61m/-, NMB 0.84m/-, Swissport 0.39m/- and Twiga 0.30m/-. Foreigners did not participate in today’s session.
