DSE indices surge further north

Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) indices yesterday surged further north, thanks to strong demand of Swissport stock that went to extra higher level.

The ground handling company stocks are now trading at 870/- a piece a climb of 10/- from the previous session.

Price increase of Swissport share moved indices upwards with DSE all share index (DSEI) gaining 0.04 points to close at 1,298.28 while Tanzania Share Index (TSI) gained 0.17 points to close at 1,119.32 points.

In the yesterday activity at the market dropped in comparison to the previous session.

A turnover of 435.83m/- was recorded from sales of 33,625 shares compare to a turnover of 1.061bn/-  from sales of 528,091 shares in the previous session.

Twiga was the day's top trader with a turnover of 31.43m/- followed by NMB with a turnover of 4.24m/- million.
